When the avengers assemble!
Yeah a gazillion (which I am pretty sure is a real number). Marvel and Disney are making so much money they are burning it, they are literally burning money. They are playing Monopoly with real money. The movie has a fistful of opening day records from the U.S. to the Phillipine Islands. Everyone loves it, the media loves, the critics actually like it, and it seems like every fifth person on facebook is jumping up and down about awesome it is or how they waiting in line to see the movie. Well, we would not be doing our job here at this site if we did not see the movie to see what the ruckus was about.
Overall I was very pleased with the movie. Joss Whedon did good, he did real good. He made a movie that appeals to the casual movie goer and the hardcore comic book fan (such as myself). A couple of things I liked in particular order (and without spoilers): Tony Stark’s wit, the Black Widow being 10x cooler than in Iron Man 2, Tom Hiddleston stealing scenes as Loki, the introduction of the SHIELD carrier, the little shout outs to the comic book fans (LMDs), and letting the Hulk…well smash. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention a few little things that bother me: stop calling it the Tesseract and the lets not really get into how Thor got back to Earth” approach in the movie.

Brett Favre falls victim to the Saints bounty system
It’s fair to say that the Saints haven’t enjoyed their best off-season in memory after the shambles surrounding Drew Brees’ contract situation and “Bounty Gate” which has plagued the Saints organisation since the revelation broke on the 2nd of March.
The Saint were accused of paying players for big hits, injuried and even cart-offs during Gregg Williams’ stint as defensive co-ordinator. In particular, New Orleans have been found to have placed bounties on Brett Favre, Kurt Warner, Aaron Rodgers and Cam Newton over those years which include the Super Bowl winning 2009 campaign.
The Saints were certainly the Sinners in this scenario, and they would have gotten away with it too if it weren’t for that pesky “whistle-blower”. The Saints are not the only team to have adopted a bounty system according to many however it seems that a former member of the franchise made the league aware of the on-goings in NOLA.

Indianapolis the end of an era
This is one story that I never would have imagined myself writing back when I first got into the NFL, it just seemed ridiculous that Manning would end his career anywhere other than Indiana where he won a league record four MVP awards and one Super Bowl. It’s shocking to me to think that Manning will now play in something other than the blue and white of the Colts.
The 11 time pro-bowl quarterback enjoyed a legendary career and is bound for the hall of fame once his career is over, which definitely isn’t yet according to the man himself, “Nobody loves their job more than I do. Nobody loves playing quarterback more than I do. I don’t want to retire. I still want to play” Manning said.
#18 is now free to sign with a new team and continue his illustrious career; as the greatest free agent of all time, we will undoubtedly see an abundance of interest in the Tennessee graduate. There are thought to be a handful of teams with a real chance of landing Manning including Miami, Arizona, Seattle,
